Our Progress | March 14th 2022

Hi,  I first wanted to thank everyone for supporting our efforts to get food & essentials to those in need now.  To date, we have raised over $28,000 which is truly inspiring.  Since March 3rd Nadiia has been literally working around the clock to coordinate with our volunteers in Nova Kahovka in purchasing flour, grains, canned food, sugar, oil, tea, bread, vegetables & other essential items available. We have been focusing on creating donation bags of these items for each family that will last about 5-7 days.  Since March 7th we have gone from 3 people to over 10 local volunteers in Nova Kahovka, Ukraine helping to distribute food to those in need.  As the city remains occupied by the Russian Military there is a curfew from 6pm to 7am, when people are not allowed to be outside during this period. Starting at 6pm, once our volunteers return home from daily deliveries, they start to pack grocery bags to get ready for the next day deliveries, which typically takes 3-4 hours. Starting in the morning cars are packed with grocery bags to distribute to families throughout Nova Kahovka, Ukraine. We are trying to expand our efforts as each day passes and since March 9th have gone from 40 families in need to over 400 today and growing. Currently we are focusing on Ukrainian people in desperate need – elderly, people with disabilities, and mothers with young children that are unable to wait in long market queues, currently over 2-4 hours. To understand the scope of this city, there are over 40,000 people living in the main city of Nova Kahovka, 90% of them can no longer work or afford food.  To reach out and find people who need help we have created a special instagram account (@novakahovkalife)  where people can leave a message requesting help for themselves, families and neighbors who don’t have internet connections.  It is shocking how many people have become victims of the current situation, as we keep getting exponential requests for help everyday since we started.  We have also been working to create a website where people can check on our progress regarding how the donations are helping people in need. <https://novakahovka.life> We are also in the steps to establish a Non-profit connection to instill confidence in our cause to raise money for the Ukrainian people affected by this tragedy. Each of us can do more together and our hope is everyone can unite to a common cause, to help the Ukrainian People who are suffering now.

Please follow our latest updates on our website <https://novakahovka.life>.

Again, I want to thank everyone for your support.
