About our Cause

Nadiia was born and grew up in Nova Kahovka, Ukraine. In 2018 she got married to Jarred and moved to live in the United States, settling in Plum Island, Newburyport MA. Nadiia’s ties to Ukraine remain strong as her parents, sister and her sister’s family as well as her friends and their families all still live there.

Watching the Russian invasion and subsequent devastation that began on February 24th, 2022 is nothing less than heartbreaking. Both Nadiia and her husband Jarred immediately started working to quickly get money to her home town with a population of over 40,000 people. They have assembled a group of in-country trusted volunteers where the funds are directly utilized to buy and distribute food & essentials to people in need.
