Our Progress
As we started shifting gears at the beginning of this year, we wanted to provide further details on how Nova Kahovka for Life currently operates and how we are delivering necessary aid to Ukraine. Just like the volunteers we work with in Ukraine, we are also volunteers as it is vital to us and our mission, that all donations go directly in supporting our cause, helping Ukrainians who’s lives have been torn apart.
When Russians made it impossible for us to work inside the city of Nova Kahovka we shifted our focus to the liberated areas along the Right ( North ) bank of Dnipro River. Just over the river from Nova Kahovka people living in extreme conditions due to daily shelling, with constant power/water outages and cell service absence.
Nadiia works directly with volunteers in Kherson that deliver goods directly to residential towns near the front line zone radius.
Currently we are working in two directions: fundraising money to cover the cost of shipping and purchasing urgent requests.
On the other side we are accepting physical goods donations that you can drop off any time at our house. Nadiia is documenting and sorting all donated goods, and after boxing we ship it to Ukraine using Bosmix service.
During this month we were able to purchase two powerful generators in Ukraine working directly with volunteers that delivered them straight to needed locations.
Following the repeated electricity shortages in Ukraine we want to purchase more power sources such as generators and power banks to provide people some back up for coming winter season.
As always every dollar counts and we are thankful for all contributions big and small.
Our last shipment successfully arrived to Ukraine and got distributed by our volunteers to residents in need and much needed clothes for the Children Hospital in Mykolayiv where they take care of kids including those who have lost their parents.

For those who may not be familiar, Nova Kahovka for Life, Inc. is a Newburyport MA-based nonprofit formed just after the War started in Ukraine. Both Jarred & Nadiia immediately recognized the desperation of people in Nadiia's home city of Nova Kakhovka, Ukraine, where her parents, sister and her family, close friends and their families also live. Under Russian occupation since February 2022, over 40,000 people could no longer work or use banks as everything came to a halt. People could only eat what they had in the house and desperately look for ways to survive. Jarred & Nadiia immediately started fundraising in the US, and at the same time organized volunteers inside Nova Kahovka, Ukraine to start distributing food to those in need. Using the electronic banking system funds raised locally get transferred directly to our bank account in Ukraine and are able to pay for goods to the suppliers and farms. Volunteers in Nova Kahovka Ukraine pick up the food and essentials, bag them, and deliver them to people in need. Only with people's generosity, large and small, this is possible. Together we are making a difference in people's lives trapped in Russian occupied Nova Kahovka, Ukraine.
