Our Progress | April 5th, 2022

I first wanted to apologize for our delayed update. We have been working on a few other fundraising ideas including an Authentic Ukrainian fundraising dinner as well as hand-made Ukrainian food you can take-home to enjoy. Thank you to everyone who had time to answer our survey. Both ideas offer an amazing opportunity for people who have not been able to visit Ukraine to experience this cultural menu firsthand. We are working out the details and will send out an update soon.

We have been creating 18×24 Ukrainian yard signs that we will be giving out to anyone who wants to show their support to not only Ukraine but our cause. We should be receiving 100 new yard signs next week.

Over the past few weeks we have been working with a local 18 year old Ukrainian from Nova Kahovka, an aspiring photographer, to help us with the imagery in creating an Experience Nova Kahovka & History page to show Nova Kahovka before Feb 24th and all that it has to offer. We hope you enjoy.

Since establishing our Instagram page we are seeing an average of 20 new families asking for help each day. This is a staggering amount of people in need of food, and we are trying to fill this need.

Today, we are continuing our deliveries to now over 1500 people. Sometimes we have to step back to realize the scope of not only our efforts to make this happen, but also all of you who support us. This support, both physically and financially, gives these people in Ukraine hope and a smile on their face knowing that we are doing our best to help.

Thank you!
Jarred & Nadiia Sadowski

We transferred another $8000 to our Ukraine account on the 28th of March allowing us to make another bulk food, medicine, and essentials purchase as our deliveries increase.

We are now delivering food and essentials to not only Nova Kahovka but to Tavriis’k, a small town of 10,000 people as well as 3 other smaller villages.

Over the last few days, we have been organizing a delivery of food and essentials to another location, Obryvky (a village about 30 minutes’ drive south from the city). Yesterday, with coordination of a local contact in this village, we successfully organized a delivery to over 100 families in need.

Each day cellular service comes and goes playing havoc with our delivery timetable and we encounter increased stops by Russian military road checkpoints. They search the cars and phones for information, and this unfortunately slows our deliveries and limits the number of people we can deliver to each day but our diligent volunteers stay determined and driven to serve their community.

Over three week ago we began collaborating with a person in the Czech Republic who managed to deliver insulin and thyroid medicines to our volunteers in Nova Kahovka. This medicine has been unavailable locally for weeks so we are very happy our first delivery was successful.

It has been 40 days since Russia invaded Ukraine and the majority of Ukraine is still cut off from receiving food and essentials from the big international humanitarian organizations making small efforts like ours vital to survival.

Even with all our struggles we wake up every morning committed to another day devoted to helping Ukrainians and none of this would be possible if it were not for the bravery and passion of our local Ukrainian volunteers. THANK YOU!!!
